At the heart of The Hawthorn is our passion for food. We use only the freshest seasonal British produce and all of our dishes are freshly prepared in house. Our Head Chef, Imogen Tilt, prides herself on perfection and many of her dishes have a sharing element for family and friends. We are passionate about the conservation of traditional breed livestock to ensure their long-term survival and the preservation of our countryside. As such, our meat is sourced direct from small farms across the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District who share our passion and exclusively rear Rare and Native Breed livestock in the traditional manner where their welfare is paramount. Our fish is freshly delivered from Hartlepool and our seasonal vegetables are from the very best local suppliers.
We carry a wide selection of lagers, beers, real ales and ciders and our wine list has been developed for us by one of the country’s leading wine experts and perfectly complements our food and customers’ tastes.
We offer Vegan and Gluten Free options on our a la carte menu, and a separate Children’s menu; please note that our Sunday roasts are not Gluten Free.
